A highly motivated and punctual degree graduate, competent in using a variety of software, such as: 3DS Max, Photoshop, Visual Studio, SQL Workbench, Unity and Sony Vegas. Used to working at high standard and able to pick up new software quickly. Proven ability to meet deadlines, learn new skills and software quickly and complete projects to the highest of standards with acute attention to detail in pressured situations. Currently working at DXC Technology as an IBM operator, but looking to transition into a more technical, development role.
Although my current role does not allow for me to do much programming, I have been working on some side projects at home over the last couple of years when I have spare time. The first main project I undertook as a learning experience was to make a password manager using C# and SQL. I learnt so much from this project and it was very challenging to begin with but I’m very glad I did it. The most recent project I have undertake is and ASP.NET MVC project. I wanted to learn more about web apps and the powers of ASP.NET and using an MVC framework. More info on both of these can be found in the programming section.
I have a strong passion for IT and this includes all aspects of it, whether it be using a Microsoft Office packages to do planning documents or databases, to using Photoshop, to Sony Vegas, to 3DS Max and my current passion; C#. Throughout my time as a student at School and College I have gained experience in many different software packages, as well as other IT related skills. Learning new skills is something I am always motivated to do and I am a fast learner.
I also have a passion for teaching! I love to help out others and teacher people new things. During the down time between finishing my Degree and finding a job I worked part time as a teaching assistant, teaching IT and tennis to children in a primary school. I also coached a “First Lego League” class that competed in the North Tyneside finals and placed second. I would love to continue to work with schools through I company I would work with such as giving talks on careers or helping out with IT programmes.
During my studies I was working as a tennis coach at Ponteland Tennis Club. I was there from a young age as a child learning and playing tennis and got into a coaching assistant role at around the age of 14. I gained my coaching qualifications and worked there for about 5 years. I was always willing to cover other coaches sessions if I was available and do volunteer work to help the club out, showing my loyalty and work ethic and still offer support now if they are in need of an extra coach.
